Young Academics, located in the heart of Cambridge Park, is seeking an experienced Educational Leader to join our team.
Young Academics Early Learning Centre is a leading and reputable provider with more than 50 centres across New South Wales. We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced Educational Leader to join our Cambridge Park leadership team.
About the Role
As the Educational Leader, you will lead the planning, implementation and evaluation of our educational programs while mentoring and developing a team of dedicated educators. Your leadership will help guide quality practice in line with the National Quality Framework and ensure that our programs are developmentally appropriate, engaging, and inclusive of all children.
Your expertise will directly influence children's learning outcomes, build a strong, knowledgeable team, and contribute to our continuous quality improvement journey.
You will create meaningful learning experiences and environments that reflect best practice and align with our service philosophy. As a service, compliance and child safety remain our highest priority, and you will be expected to uphold our child-safe practices in all aspects of your role. You will also collaborate with fellow educators to build strong, respectful partnerships with children, families and the wider community, fostering a supportive environment that enhances children’s wellbeing, confidence, and lifelong love of learning.
This position is a full-time role - Monday to Friday between 7 am-6 pm.
Responsibilities
Design, implement, and oversee high-quality educational programs that reflect the needs and interests of children and families.
Mentor and guide educators in curriculum development, documentation, and reflective practices.
Foster strong, collaborative relationships with children, families, educators, and the community.
Support compliance with the National Law, Regulations, and the Early Years Learning Framework (EYLF).
Lead the development and execution of the centre’s Quality Improvement Plan (QIP).
Champion the YA Evolution (0–4 years) and Transition to School (4–5 years) Programs.
Model and promote Young Academics’ core values in everyday practice.
Engage in regular reflective practice and professional development.
Maintain Mandatory Reporting responsibilities and requirements.
Qualifications & Experience
Advocate for early childhood and Young Academics Early Learning Centre
Diploma or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education.
Strong knowledge of the National Quality Framework, including the EYLF, National Law, and Regulations.
Current First Aid & CPR Certificate
Valid, paid Working with Children Check
Proven leadership and mentoring experience in an early childhood setting.
Ability to inspire and build educator capacity through professional development and reflective practices.
Passionate about supporting children’s learning and wellbeing in a culturally inclusive, respectful environment.
Commitment to upholding a Child Safe Organisation and inclusive practices
Maintain Mandatory National Child Safety Training
